reflections

"As we wrap up this challenge, I’ve taken a moment to reflect on why I joined in the first place: I wanted to be more mindful about the energy I use—not just for the environment, but for my own sense of responsibility and awareness.Throughout the challenge, I’ve built small but powerful habits—like unplugging devices, switching to LED bulbs, and being more intentional with my daily routines. It’s amazing how small steps can make a real impact. To everyone who participated: Your commitment and positivity have been incredibly motivating. Let’s carry what we’ve started beyond this challenge and keep supporting one another in making sustainable choices.

This might be the end of the challenge—but it’s the beginning of a long-term shift. Let’s keep the energy going."

– Thomas

"We turned down the heat this month and it worked out just fine. Easy win for energy savings."

– Marti

"I took advantage of the longer days and adjusted my light timers to come on later. It is awesome to see the natural sunlight in the evenings."

– Cindy

"I've learned lots of great tips from people during this challenge about how to make a better impact. This will help us continue to be better far beyond this challenge."

– Tyler

"I joined the challenge to not only support the sustainability work at the studio and the great people doing that work, but for my friends and family and all the humans living on this planet. It is so important that we do what we can for people and planet so that generations to come will have a world that is healthy. Oregon is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and I feel lucky to live in a state surrounded by so much natural beauty. I want our home to be explore the trails with my nephew for years to come and hope that he does the same with his family when he grows up."

– Crystal

"Put the HVAC on vacation mode while gone!"

– Karen

"There are no water leaks. Two new exterior bottom door seals have been ordered and will be installed this weekend."

– Kevin

"I have installed timers at my house for all lamps!"

– David

"I have to unplug my devices at night because I can't stand the sound of the electricity. Tism for the win! Keeping me sustainable."

– Hannah
