ABOUT EARTH MONTH ECOCHALLENGE

For Earth, For Each Other, For Tomorrow

For the month of April 2025, we took action to create a better tomorrow for people, nature, and future generations. This year’s theme, “For Earth, For Each Other, For Tomorrow,” was about fostering hope and inspiring action for a better future. Through daily actions and shared learning, we can create a more sustainable and equitable world - one where people and nature thrive together.

"Ecochallenge inspires me to take meaningful action for the planet. Small, smart choices add up to real change!"

— Iulia

"I joined because I am a huge foodie, and I love to eat. But I figured it is time to challenge myself, to eat healthier. So, I am cutting back on some old eating habits, and focusing on adding more fruits and vegetables into my diet. It is all about making better choices, and hopefully, inspiring others to do the same."

— Muhamad

"Sustainability is our collective duty and a beacon of hope for future generations. 🌍 Every small action we take today can lead to a brighter, greener tomorrow. Let's unite in our efforts to protect and preserve our planet. Together, we can make a lasting impact! 💪🌱"

— Nilesh

"I've been focusing on conservation this Earth Month, and I'm making an effort to reduce water usage, cut down on plastic waste, and support local wildlife by planting native plants in my garden. It's been a rewarding experience, and I'm learning a lot along the way!"

— Aparna

"Every time I scroll through our feed, I'm reminded of how small choices truly add up. Whether it’s using a reusable water bottle or choosing to walk instead of drive, it grounds me in the idea that progress happens one step at a time. I love the reminders!"

— Alyssa

"I'm making that extra effort to conserve clean water that we sometimes take for granted these days — turning off the water during my long toothbrushing sessions (good dental hygiene is a true obsession), filling the dishwasher to the brim to make the most of the load, and doing the same for the clothes washer!"

— Roxanne

"I'm really enjoying the Earth Month Ecochallenge and am taking a multifaceted approach to sustainability. In addition to reducing my carbon footprint by using public transport and cutting down on driving, I’ve also been focusing on reducing food waste by planning meals carefully and supporting local, organic farmers at my nearby farmer's market."

— Abeesh

"Why I’m participating: to make a difference. Change the pattern. Make a better world. We have to change as a society. I look out for trash when I’m outside. I collect my recyclables — on the road or at home. I try to reduce my carbon footprint. This is a journey we are on. Let’s make a better world for all while on the path!"

— Robert

"I love taking a few minutes of my day to learn about new things, especially related to conservation since this is something that I'm passionate about and it is not part of my daily work."

— Annie

"I appreciate the opportunities the Ecochallenge offers. There are things I never really considered until I was told about this last year. This format allows me to hold myself accountable and share with others. I really think sharing, supporting our environments, and making a difference is what our world needs."

— Tiffany

"I love that Earth Month Ecochallenge helps me find concrete ways to take action. I decided to try the approach of choosing one action for each category. I made sure a couple of them were one-time actions so I'd not find myself feeling overwhelmed. The one I am looking forward to the most is sharing my why. I think it will challenge me to think about what motivates me to do this sort of work."

— Joie

"Wow, I've learned that there are a lot of creative uses to various food scraps! I'm going to start a freezer bag for various scraps so I can collect them as I go, in a laid-back way. I am great at avoiding food waste from neglect, and I keep a close eye on my perishables, but I do think I could tighten this area up because I do a ton of cooking, which results in a lot of compost from prep. I am grateful that the Ecochallenge repeatedly shows me that I have more to learn!"

— Alison

"I'm thrilled with my progress on Earth Month Ecochallenge 2025: Conservation. By cutting down on waste, choosing eco-friendly products, and supporting local conservation projects, I feel empowered knowing every small step makes a difference. It's inspiring to see how these actions contribute to a healthier, greener future for all."

— Noufal

"Why Ecochallenge? Often, sustainability actions are overwhelming, Ecochallenge breaks down action into digestible pieces so that we all feel like we are making a difference and understand that every bit helps."

— Chelsea

"As the Ecochallenge gave me both the opportunity and the resources to learn more about pollinators, I find myself paying more attention when I am around flowers.

And it feels so good to meet them in my garden!"

— Paula
